WSOP 2015: Joe McKeehen wins the Main Event

Joe McKeehen is the new WSOP Main Event Champion. The 24-year-old poker-pro from Philadelphia won the final table, the November Nine in Las Vegas. He wins $7,68 million and a WSOP gold bracelet.

It took McKeehen only 184 hands to seal the deal on tuesday afternoon (PST). It was a dominating performance from the beginning to the end. McKeehen came to the final table as the big chip leader. And none of his opponents was able to threat him during the whole event. In the end, Josh Beckley finished second and takes home $4.47 million. Neil Blumenfield, who finished third, wins $3.4 million. And even Patrick Chan, who was the first to leave the table on the first of the three days, got $1.0 million.

The hand that crowned McKeehen as the 2015 WSOP Main Event Champion was played at 8PM PST on November 10th. In heads up, Josh Beckley went all-in with a pair of 4s. McKeehen called with Ace and Ten. A Ten on the flop gave McKeehen the lead. And neither the turn nor the river changed the outcome. A complete and commented hand history is available at WSOP.com.
