ORIGINAL POST – OUTDATED – Switch Poker review – the mobile poker app pioneer

A couple of years ago, the big Poker Rooms were still more or less far away from launching a mobile poker app. While PokerStars, 888 or the iPoker network were still focusing on their desktop clients, there was a little poker room that already offered mobile poker on smartphones and tablets: Switch Poker. The market has become more competitive since then, but the small company is still online with its Switch Poker mobile app. But is it still up to date? In our switch poker review we check the app and compare it to the mobile poker clients of other operators.

Let’s start with the good news: Switch Poker updated the app several times in the last couple of years and was an innovation driver for quite some time. They introduced a multitable-view and started offering Bitcoins as a payment option. While they started as a Web App running directly in your browser, Switch Poker published a native Android App some time ago. You can download the apk directly from their homepage. The iOS version for iPad and iPhone is still available for safari only.

In the last two years, the development seems to have paused, however. When looking at their website you do not get the impression of visiting an up to date mobile poker room. The product itself is good and has been running solid for many years now. But other poker rooms have overtaken the pioneer – at least that is the conclusion of our Switch Poker Review.
